The value can not be null. Parameter name: workspace element was not found. - Workspace Information Web Part


A normal user receives the error message "Value can not be null when Workspace Information Web Part. Parameter name: workspace element has not been found, "said an admin gets displayed correctly the data.. But this only occurs when more than 8 columns have been selected.

Reason:

SharePoint limits the query of columns on 8 columns in a CAML Query.

Solution:

By more than 8 columns display in the workspace information Part of the value "ListView Lookup Threshold" must be increased in Central Administration

1. Go to the Central Administration

2. Go to "Application Management"problem:




3. Go to "Manage web applications"


4. Select the Web application on which the Collaboration Manager has been activated from



5. Press on the ribbon on the General Settings, on the small black triangle and select Resource Throttling from




6. Increase the value "ListView Lookup Threshold" from 8 to 30, or their desired number

7. Save the dialog and do the IISReset
