Creating a template results in an error status

Problem:

Creating a template leads to an error status in the templates library.

Possible Reasons:

  1. The Administrator Account has not been created as described in our documentation
  2. Creating the template sitecollection exceeds the resource limits.

Solution:

For the first reason you should follow the documentation and create the new administrator account. Add it to the collaboration manager settings afterwards.
